Indonesia DVB-T2
Indonesia said that they will adopt the next generation DVB-T2 standard for free-to-air DVB-T broadcasts when Jakarta switches to digital TV system.
The original plan was for introducing a DVB-T network but after consultation with industry players Indonesia decided to switch to the more advanced version DVB-T2. which is better than DVB-T TV system and adopted also by Russia, Ukraine, Thailand and Singapore.
In a statement Indonesia explains that the use of DVB-T2 would open up the market to additional broadcasters and save much the update charge.
